A L O O O H A!!!!
And I am off! On my jet plane headed to my beloved Island of Hawaii in South Kona to work and play with my Ohana at Yoga Adventure Teacher Training. All the work leading up to today has been a great deal of excitement but not without some big waves of a storm I had to ride out. I am REALLY happy to be somewhat settled in my new office space. I couldn’t have been luckier to get to just move upstairs. Although the move wasn’t all that physically demanding, the stress and “bumps along the way” were still there. GOOD NEWS~The feedback has been very positive from some of my clients who were able to come in for a treatment in my new space before I left today.
On another good note, the new equipment I upgraded to is really top of the line. My microdermabrasion machine no longer uses crystals. The new technology is with a diamond tip. There are about 9 tips appropriate for different skin types and body parts. It really creates a nice exfoliation and with out all that messy crystal getting stuck in your hair and ears.
I also got a very new technology that utilizes liquid instead of crystals in micro derm form. It is known as hydrodermabrasion. The liquids can be anything from purified water to organic toners such as rose or cucumber water to more astringent for acne or hyper pigmented skin. The hydro-derm is more gentle and has a refreshing feel to the skin. It can be done alone or following the microderm.
The other exciting unit I got is the Oxygen and nutrient skin defuser. The oxygen machine pumps the oxygen through the tubing into a defusor that can be customized with a concentrate or serum to be applied to the skin through a mist. The mist is so refreshing and cool! The delivery method with the oxygen is also very important. The molecules are so small and with the pressure of the oxygen infusing them the product really penetrates into the skin well. Instant improvements are seen. A great final topper to your facial and a great treatment for special events. Many celebrities do this facial right before red carpet events.
The only “boo, thumbs down” was that my new aromatherapy and ozone steamer broke upon delivery. This issue is being resolved so I am not going to worry about it.
So exciting stuff happened right before this trip to work with all my Yogi’s. I am grateful and trust that it is all happening for a good reason. I am truly passionate with what I get to do in this world. It makes me happy, which in turn I hope makes others happy.
To all my Pilates peeps, keep moving! Get outdoors and enjoy the summer! Maybe switch things up with regular hikes or swims while I am away. I have a Pilates buddy out here in Kona so we plan to swap “torture moves” :O/ LOL. So you will have some fun new stuff to look forward when I get back.
Sorry for being so long but I gotta pass my time on this plane some how! Yippie! About 2 more hours and I will be landing in my favorite place in the world! Stay tuned for more blogs and photos on our yoga adventure out here. Mahalo!
